I am Cynthia Rea, owner and creator of the Black Daffodil label. I had finally realized my lifelong dream when I opened my boutique in September 2009. Black Daffodil represents a strong modern woman with a soft and feminine edge. Our customers aren't afraid to stand out and are looking for something unique. We are proud to support small businesses like ours throughout Canada and the US, as I give priority to local and/or independent designers and I am always looking for more to add to the mix.

We have built a design studio at the rear of the store where we design and manufacture our own in house Black Daffodil clothing line. The Black Daffodil Collection began in 2008 and continues to evolve day by day. Our designs are modern with a 1940s glamour vintage appeal; we love the classic sophisticated pin up woman aesthetic and strive to make that look possible to wear day to day. We choose mostly natural fabrics that breathe and have a bit of stretch for comfort. Because we produce our clothing in house, we can make any alterations as needed and we can also create any piece in our repertoire custom made especially for you!
